Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority is an export promotion council established in 1985 through an act for the promotion and development of the export of scheduled products. APEDA functions as per the regulation and provisions of the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act of 1985. For APEDA registration, the applicant identity has to submit the application form within one month from the date of commencement of business.

  • Herbal and Medicinal Plants

  • Guar Gum

  • Floriculture and Floriculture Products

  • Honey, Sugar, and Jaggery Products

What is the procedure for APEDA Registration?

The registration process for exporters of scheduled products has become very easy; now, the exporters can apply online:

  • The applicant has to open the official online portal of APEDA and has to login by clicking on the 'Register as Member.'

  • The applicant has to provide some basic information such as Import Export Code, e-mail address, registered mobile number of the applicant, and has to click on ‘submit.’

  • The information provided by the applicant will be verified via OTP (One Time Password). A One Time Password will be sent on the e-mail address and mobile number of the applicant. The applicant will enter the OTP in the respective section of the screen and then click on 'submit' to go on to the next step.

  • Now, the applicant has to fill the online application form for registration. After the APEDA authorities complete the verification, the applicant will upload all the essential documents in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format.

  • The applicant must pay a fee of INR 5000 for attaining APEDA registration. The registration fee excludes taxes, and the applicant can make the fee payment by using the following modes:

  1. Demand Draft

  2. Debit Card

  3. Credit Card

  • After the authorities have received the payment, the authorities will generate an application number for future reference.

  • As soon as the concerned authorities issues Registration-Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC), the login details will be sent on the applicant's registered e-mail address. The applicant ha to log in by clicking on 'Exporter Login' on the APEDA’s official online portal.

  • The exporter of scheduled products can rectify any shortcomings or errors in the registration application and resubmit the official online portal documents.

  • In the last step of the registration process, the APEDA officials will approve the Registration-Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC). After the applicant has received the approval is, the certificate of registration can be acquired by using the login details.
